From a Single Treat to a Growing Community

I started Sinful Treats in 2009 with one goal in mind: to bring joy to people through dessert.

What began in my home kitchen turned into a full service bakery, then an online marketplace, and now a space that brings together bakers, makers, and women in business. For almost two decades, I’ve poured my heart into this work. One of my proudest long term projects has been baking Snickerdoodle cookies for the annual Polar Express event in Old Sacramento. Since 2011, we’ve baked over half a million cookies for families during the holiday season. That experience taught me the power of staying consistent, showing up,

and creating something people look forward to.

Why I built this:

Sinful Treats Network was created for women like you and me. Women who are raising families, building businesses, and trying to stay grounded in who they are. My inspiration comes from those who are creating with heart and building with purpose. Here, you’ll find more than just recipes or products. You’ll find connection. You’ll find stories that reflect your own. You’ll find practical tools to help you keep going and keep growing.

Motherhood and Business:

I’ve raised two boys while growing this business, often working during nap times, late nights, or in between school pickups. They went with me to meetings and events, watched me build relationships, and met the same community and business leaders I was learning from.

During the years we had the bakery, I’d pick them up from school and bring them straight to work with me. They’d sit in the shop, watching me finish orders and waited patiently until we could lock up for the night. Then we’d head home, make dinner, and no matter how tired I was, I always made time for bedtime stories.

There were moments I felt guilty. I worried I was working too much or missing out. But now, I see how much they gained from being part of it. They learned how to work hard, manage money, and talk to people with confidence. They’ve developed strong work ethics and life skills I never could have taught from a textbook.

This journey hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been worth it. And I couldn’t have done it without my husband’s unconditional support. I know I’m not alone. So many moms are trying to grow a business while raising a family, and questioning if they’re doing either one “right.” This space is for you. You’re not doing it wrong. You’re doing something incredible.

What This Space Offers

The Marketplace, where you can shop for treats and digital goods from talented bakers and makers.

The Network, where we share stories, behind-the-scenes moments and real conversations through video series like "In the Kitchen".

The Academy, coming soon, with resources and mentorship for women building businesses on their own terms.

Let’s Build This Together

This isn’t just about sweets. It’s about building something real and doing it in a way that feels right. I’m so glad you’re here. Explore our stories, try a recipe, or shop the Marketplace to support the makers who make it all possible. If you’re a baker, maker, or mom in business, I’d love to hear from you. Share your story, a recipe, or a tip we can feature. We’re building this space together. Reach out to me here to share your story or ask me questions.
